The Greek goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, inspired the splendour of silhouettes in the collection designs which are ultimately feminine, soft and wildly romantic.
The Aphrodite campaign was centred on the ‘celebration of women’, a theme which is mirrored throughout the luxurious designs and powerfully represented by the six strikingly diverse models chosen for the campaign photoshoot.
The all-inspiring and dedicated team of women at Madi Lane Bridal is led by Creative Director and Designer Liz Young who explains the collection name was serendipitous.
“We journeyed to picturesque Byron Bay in Northern New South Wales where we arrived at the location, a gorgeous house-meets-manor with old world charisma, and to our surprise was named Aphrodite – the name I had been mulling over in my mind for our collection! Of course, we took that as a strong indication that the collection name should be Aphrodite.”
“There is a great synergy between the photoshoot and collection designs for Spring/ Summer 2021– the shoot location had lots of Grecian-themed stone statues and columns softened with lovely flowers while the gowns themselves embody many characteristics that I associate with Grecian/ Mediterranean culture – feminine, confident, adventurous, loving, strong, passionate, and gentle softness. ”
Looming stone carvings and structures, flowers and fountains made an alluring backdrop for the equally enthralling collection featuring Madi Lane’s signature flowing styles, minimalist crepe and bold on-trend statement laces. The collection also features the labels regular diversity principles, which shines through the designs and the six uniquely divine women wearing the gowns – a collection ensured to be hypnotic in every way.
Designs like ‘Bonnie’ and ‘Bronte’ speak to Madi Lane’s signature styling of soft, feminine and wildly romantic, while ‘Bryce’ and Bailey’ continue on the bold and unique lace trend that Madi Lane is known for. The combining of embellishments and textures in ‘Billie’ and ‘Blaise’ speak to the multi- element layering bridal trend, and the sleek European Crepe silhouettes of ‘Beau’ and ‘Bentley’ highlight the feminine form creating an elegant bridal beauty.
“I really wanted this collection to exude an abundance of joy, love, fun and feminine beauty which is reflected in my designs and by the diversity each woman brought to our campaign,” explains Liz. “I want the women wearing Madi Lane gowns to feel powerful and to know this collection was primarily about celebrating the essence of ‘woman’, – a balance of strength, softness, and wonderfully individualised beauty.
“This collection has a beautiful poise of delicate beauty meets confident strength within each design, with the individual flair and remarkability of each modern bride that will wear them, their crowning glory.’
