New Zeland - A Nuptal Mecca
Team Madi set off from Australia’s East coast, ten new styles in hand, and descended on Christchurch bound for the picturesque shores of Pigeon Bay.
The world over, Madi Lane brides are flocking to a small Pacific nation with a lot to offer when it comes to epic weddings and we have been so inspired that we decided to shoot our very first luxe release on its South Island. Team Madi set off from Australia’s East coast, ten new styles in hand, and descended on Christchurch bound for the picturesque shores of Pigeon Bay. We spent two glorious days capturing the luxe detail of our new collection against a backdrop of iconically New Zealand scenes: mountain-tops sprinkled with dustings of snow, turquoise blue lakes, changing tidal inlets and the remnants of roaring waterfalls. Such is the awe-striking beauty of the South Island.
Sydney bride Michelle was wise to what the South Island had to offer and worked with New Zealand Heli Weddings to create her dream elopement in Queenstown. In her own words, the highlight of her day was “storm chasing in the Storm gown.” Of all the brides who have worn our Storm so well, Michelle has harnessed the potential of this gown as well as the elements of a spectacular environment to achieve a truly aspirational aesthetic.
We couldn’t leave New Zealand without mentioning Wanaka. The secret is out – Wanaka weddings are fast becoming a huge trend in destination events. This tiny resort hamlet just North of Queenstown is the gateway to the Southern Alps and offers unending vistas of rugged ranges and expanses of white glacial plains peppered with crystal pools of melt water.
