For Patricia and Sandro, Instagram played the role of cupid in their story. From a crush formed from a profile picture, to the first DM sent and later, from a first date to happily ever after.
“We first met on Instagram. I came across his profile picture and couldn’t resist clicking “follow.” He soon reached out, and before long, he asked me out on a date—like a real gentleman. From that first date on, things just kept getting better and better. We met when we were both still living young, wild, and free, but somehow it felt like we met at exactly the right time. As the years went by, we both changed and grew—not just as individuals, but in our faith as well. Looking back now, it’s clear that it was His plan all along for our paths to cross when they did.“
The proposal was nothing short of a fairytale. In snowy Switzerland, Sandro was caught in the romance of a perfect moment, taking a knee and asked her to be his wife.
“He proposed in his homeland, the stunning Switzerland, two days after Christmas. We were visiting his family for the holidays, surrounded by the beauty of snow-covered mountains and cozy winter magic. Funny enough, he hadn’t even brought the ring he already had with him—he thought I might expect a proposal since we were away, and he wanted it to be a true surprise. But when we went for a peaceful walk by a quiet lake blanketed in white snow, he just couldn’t resist. In that perfect, magical moment, he went down on one knee and poured his heart out, ring or not, because there couldn’t have been a more beautiful place—or a more perfect moment.”
Patricia found her dream dress, our Taylin, online at the beginning of her bridal journey. Coming face to face with the gown in person for the first time at Bridallure in Ureterp, Netherlands.
“I wanted a dress that really suited me — something young and pretty, just like I imagined for a 23-year-old bride. When I saw the Taylin dress online, I knew I had to try it. I went to Bridallure in Ureterp (The Netherlands), and it was the first one I tried on.
I fell in love with the corset lace top; it feels so elegant yet perfectly suited to me as a young bride. I adore the train and the way the dress fits my figure—at 160 cm (around 5’3”), it complements my height beautifully. What truly drew me to the Taylin dress was how it struck the perfect balance between timeless romance and modern grace. The delicate lace detailing felt so feminine and soft, while the structured bodice gave me confidence and poise. I loved how the dress moved with me—graceful and effortless, yet still made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself. It wasn’t just a dress; it felt like my dress, as if it was made with me and my story in mind.”
The couple’s wedding was steeped in sentimentality and thoughtfulness. Every colour choice intentional, with even the location chosen for it’s deep roots in their families.
“We live in the north of the Netherlands, in a region called Friesland, and our venue — Fries en Fruitig (which means “Frisian and Fruity”) — couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. The place was surrounded by farms and cows, giving it that true Frisian countryside charm. It felt extra special because both our fathers are from Friesland, and my husband’s mother’s side of the family came all the way from Switzerland, so they were able to experience and enjoy our Frisian roots. The beautiful farmhouse could host over 90 overnight guests, and everything about the day just felt perfect. The style of the wedding was truly us — simple, warm, and genuine, without too much fuss or crazy details. My favorite color is orange, so we added touches of it throughout the flowers, bringing such a joyful and vibrant feel to the day. We also had a wooden sign with our favourite verse, 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us,” which made everything feel even more meaningful. It was all so perfectly us — natural, heartfelt, and full of love.”
“Our favourite moment was without a doubt the ceremony, especially reading our vows in front of everyone. It was nerve-racking to speak so openly, but also incredibly special. We have such a meaningful story, and sharing it with all of our loved ones was truly unforgettable. I even shared a bit of my testimony, which made me even more nervous, but in that moment, we could both truly feel His presence surrounding us. It was such a powerful and emotional experience — not just for us, but for everyone there. Afterwards, so many of our guests came up to tell us how deeply they felt the love and warmth during the ceremony; there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. My husband couldn’t hold back his tears, but somehow, I managed — mostly because I was determined not to ruin my makeup before everyone saw me! Oh, and our first dance to “Islands in the Stream” was the perfect joyful ending to such a heartfelt day.”
“If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to truly enjoy every single moment. I know everyone says that, but it’s so true — the day goes by faster than you can imagine. Even the moments of stress or the little things that don’t go exactly as planned end up becoming part of the beautiful story. Looking back, I can honestly say it was all worth it. Trust that everything will fall into place and that your guests are having just as much fun as you are. Celebrating love really is the most wonderful thing, and you deserve to soak it all in — feeling your most beautiful, confident self, in your Madi Lane dress, of course. It’s your day, so take it all in, smile, breathe, and just enjoy every second of it.”
Thank you for having us as part of your special day, Patricia!
