This majestic namesake collection, ‘MARRAKECH’ was inspired by the mysterious city’s infusion of cultures – European, Middle Eastern and African, harmonising perfectly with the dynamic blend of diversity found in this season’s designs. Snuggled between the snow draped Atlas Mountains and rich earthen tones of the desert, our chosen shoot locations made for a picture-perfect backdrop to execute the Fall 2020 ‘MARRAKECH’ campaign imagery. Internationally popular and Australian-based, Madi Lane Bridal, has created an exotic fusion of elegance and glamour for brides and wanderers alike. With more than 20 years in the bridal industry, Creative Director/ Head Designer, Liz Young and her all-women team of creatives have spent months working passionately to design a compilation of gowns which inspire, empower and bring vibrancy to the wedding days of modern brides. The synergy and alluring designs contrast beautifully against the Marrakech locale of traditional maze-like alleys with thriving souks and fresh spices, bright colours and rich flavours – a simply magical adventure of the senses!

Madi Lane’s Liz Young explains the features that embody the Fall 2020 collection, ‘Each design is unique in its own way – I drew a lot of inspiration from the rich culture and diversity, and the mystical culture unravelled in the desert terrain of Morocco,’ Ms Young said. ‘Madi Lane’s signature colours of mocha, champagne and nude undertones accentuate the lace patina and textural layers, which so many Madi Lane brides have come to love as a contrasting feature. The timeless silhouette influence within the Fall 2020 designs, coupled with our ever-present modern laces and accents, bring a strong, dynamic range of designs to the worldwide bridal industry.’ Liz continues, ‘Our ‘MARRAKECH’ collection features some of my favourite detachable gown accessories including sheer feather-light sleeves, dramatic overskirts and whimsical capes – the epitome of grace, coupled with a little drama, for the bride-to-be looking for a romantic and modern personalised twist to their bridal vision.’

Endless and abundant palms adorning luxurious Riads provided a picturesque backdrop for the rich and buttery European crepe designs and the luxurious adorned beaded styles. Sculpted stone columned arches, billowing fabric drapes, and crystalline water displays featured heavily in the location chosen to present these designs.

As the Madi Lane team wandered further off the beaten track, the desert’s enriched secluded settings mirrored the warm tones of the fabrics used in these breathtaking designs. Only high-quality fabrics, intricate beads and exclusive laces have been hand-selected this season, remaining true to the Madi Lane flair of high quality, affordable designer bridal gown, with soul, empowering the remarkable women who wear them. Each design is refreshingly unique and stands collectively in a seasonal release that is already being widely praised by global industry professionals and brides.
