Our Madi Lane Bride Casey chose our SATINE dress for her wedding day, marrying the love of her life Michael in an intimate London destination wedding that looked nothing short of regal. Surrounded by their closest loved ones, the couple chose London to tie the knot as a city close to their hearts and pertinent in their Love Story. Read on to hear their journey from the start to finish, and hear what advice Casey has to share with future Madi Brides.
The pair met at a mutual friend’s wedding rehearsal dinner, and then found themselves sat at the same table the following night for the real event (talk about serendipity!) Little could they have known that three years later, they would be sat together at a table at their own wedding. “Michael proposed on our second anniversary, which he calls ‘Casey Lee Day’, it’s the day I reached out to him on messenger after meeting each other. He chose the magnificent Breakers Resort – cut to the big moment, he has his drone up and ready to capture everything. I though we were getting fun travel content! Just as he was about to propose – cue the rain, and me running off to save my hair! The poor guy had to quickly reset and come up with a new plan. He found a gorgeous, quiet spot inside one of the opulent hallways, set up his phone to record – all unbeknownst to me. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. He said all the right things, I said yes, and he presented me with the ring. WOW she is a stunner.” Amazing work on Michael’s behalf! It sounds like the best Casey Lee Day so far (that is, until the wedding on the following Casey Lee Day!)
Casey met her dream dress at Amore Bridal Boutique, Tampa. “I thought I knew exactly which style of dress I wanted. I had one last boutique on my list. I almost didn’t go. But my mom said ‘God is telling me we should go and just check it out real quick’. Sure enough, I walked in and SATINE was in the window. I couldn’t stop staring at her, she was nothing like the other dresses I had already picked out. I decided to try her on, and I immediately felt so pretty. I decided to sleep on it. Of all the dresses, it’s the only one I couldn’t stop dreaming about. I loved the sparkle, the Chantilly lace, and how it was my perfect fit – corset top with a full skirt. Bonus feature: it travelled very well, which I needed for our overseas nuptials.”
“I’m so happy I went to Amore Bridal Boutique in Tampa, Florida. The owner, Kim, was like my fairy godmother. She made the experience so joyful and fun. She taught me about Madi Lane, which made me fall in love with the gown even more.”
Casey’s wedding took place on the third annual Casey Lee Day in Mayfair, England! “We had a Bridgerton style wedding with all the trimmings – full of colours and beautiful textures. We kept it intimate with a perfect guest list of 22 family and friends. We did our first look at the JW Marriot Grosvenor house by the vintage elevators in the grand lobby. Then it was off to the venue – the exquisite Dartmouth House. We loved the robust history, deep royal ties, and spectacular interiors of this Mayfair mansion. We chose London as our wedding destination be cause it was our first international trip together. We travel the world regularly, so we wanted a location that was near and dear to our hearts. London is where we fell deeply in love during the first few months of our courtship.”
We always ask our brides this question, after all, it is the most important thing above everything! What memories will you treasure the most from your wedding? “That’s such a hard question! If I have to choose, it has to be our vows the morning of. We chose to write our own vows, and read them alone together before the wedding day kicked off. It was so emotional and beautiful and perfect. In hindsight, I was able to get out all my emotions (and tears) which made the rest of the day so much more joyful. I’ve never felt so much happiness in such big quantities all packed into one day.” This was enough to bring a tear to our eye! Private vows are so special to share with your partner.
“Choose the dress that makes you feel beautiful and special. It’s all about how you feel in the dress. Try to be open minded, and don’t focus on what you think you want. Have fun and don’t settle – it’s kind of like choosing your life parter haha!”
Thank you so much for that great advice Casey-Lee! And thank you for having us as part of your memories of this special day.
