Oh to be whisked away to the Greek Island of Santorini by Camilla Kirk Photography! That was the reality for our Emilyn earlier this year and we were envious to say the least. With a marble carpet beneath her feet, a cloudless sky above her head and fifty shades of blue behind her, a white Emilyn appeared to emerge from the chalky walls of ancient Oia. Distinguishable at first, only by the centre-front split in her skirt that offers glimpses of sun-kissed skin and identifiable as she turns to reveal a lace bordered low back, occasionally obscured by just a few blond locks that fall from a crowning chignon bun.

Walking the narrow cobbled streets of what is perhaps one of the world’s most photographed locations, Emelia’s featured split comes into its own and her transparent lace train exhibits the bold yet intricate detail that is consistent throughout, and synonymous with, this incredibly simple gown.

Paired with white florals that take on a blush tone all their own against Emilyn’s white lace the overall look is organic and real, and adds an achievable authenticity to this trending style. The illusion of light that exudes from this traditionally white bridal look is broken only by the green foliage that cascades kneeward from the bouquet and flashes of bronze skin that glows from within.
