Not the most romantic story but we were work friends for years. One night he kissed me in a club and the rest is history!
Reuben proposed to me on a random Sunday at a vineyard about half an hour from our house. It was a complete surprise! I thought we were going for a casual lunch date, and was getting so annoyed at him right up until he was on one knee because I was hangry and he kept making me wander around the vineyard instead of heading inside to the restaurant.
I looked online and knew I loved the Seville and Soren gown. I went to my local Luv Bridal boutique and described the style of dress that I liked (but didn’t mention any brands or dress names). My stylist who helped me was amazing and suggested I try the Seville and Soren! As soon as I tried on the Seville I knew it was the one.
We got married at The Valley Estate on the Gold Coast, it’s an incredible venue and made our day so easy. We had a pretty classic, minimal vibe, mostly white and black with hints of pale blue. We asked all of our guests to wear black and it looked amazing on the day (I was worried in the lead up that it would look like a funeral). We didn’t do a lot of the traditional elements of a wedding; no first dance or cake. We did a champagne tower instead which kicked off the party perfectly. It was the perfect day!
My stepdaughter wrote my husband and I a speech as a surprise. She was too shy to deliver it in front of all the guests but she did it for us privately and it made me bawl my eyes out.
Don’t worry about trends, just pick the dress that feels the most ‘you’!
