Our Madi Lane real bride Ashley married the love of her life in our DARNELLE wedding dress! Taking place on Valentine’s Day, it was the perfect occasion to celebrate their love on their romance-filled wedding day.

Ashley and Jonathan began as high school sweethearts, drawn together by soccer practice, and have been together ever since. The sweetest stories of all start this way!
Jonathan used their yearly anniversary trip as the perfect moment to pop the question.
“My husband proposed. We went on a trip to Arizona for our yearly trip we take around our anniversary. We went to the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix and he proposed amongst the cactuses!”
Which Madi Lane gown did you fall in love with, and why?
Ashley’s dream dress was our clean and fitted Darnelle gown, finding it as a surprise suggestion from her stylist at I Do, I Do Bridal in Athens, GA, USA.
“I went dress shopping at I Do, I Do Bridal in Athens, GA! I thought I knew what I wanted, and kept trying on strapless ballgowns. The bridal stylist pulled my dress, and just asked me to try it on to see something different, and I ended up crying when I saw it on! I knew it was the one!
I loved the ruching, the boning in the top, and the flared train!”
Where did you get married? Tell us about the location, and style of your wedding.
“We got married on Valentine’s Day in Savannah, GA. The Spanish moss on the oak trees was the perfect romantic backdrop for our big day! Our color scheme was pink and red (obviously!) and we really leaned into the “Valentines” theme of it all!”
Like so many brides, for Ashley, choosing a singular favourite moment from the big day was near impossible!
“I have so many! From our private vows and first look in the square surrounded by the trees, to finally getting to do our first dance that we had practiced so many times at our house, to dancing the night away at the reception!”
What advice would you share with future Madi Lane Brides?
Ashley’s advice to our Madi-Brides-to-be is a gentle reminder to slow down on your wedding day, and take a moment to enjoy all the effort that has gone into making it your dream come true.
“I know it sounds cliche, but just really soak in all of the moments of your day. It really does go by so fast!”
