Our stunning real bride Lauren married the love of her life, wearing our THANE CR wedding dress on a warm Autumn day last October.

Tell us your proposal story.
Lauren and Jake we’re each other’s first love, meeting in sixth grade, and have been together ever since. The classic fairytale of the football star and cheerleader!
“My husband and I met in sixth grade when we were in the same class. He caught my eye when he wore his football jersey on Fridays to school! I was on the cheerleading team and I became his biggest fan! We started dating and never looked back!”
Their romance continued all the way into 2023, when they became engaged on a couples’ Spring Break getaway.
“I am a teacher so we tend to travel for my Spring break. In 2023, we planned our trip to Savannah, Georgia. Since I planned our itinerary down to the minute (it’s the teacher in me!) I did not expect him to propose on this trip. He had managed to find time to squeeze it in and surprise me while we were on our way to dinner! He proposed in Lafayette Square, which is a park that was close to our dinner restaurant.”
Which Madi Lane gown did you fall in love with, and why?
Lauren’s dream dress was our Thane CR gown, finding the style at a Madi Lane In-Store Event at Here Comes the Bride, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
“I absolutely fell in love with the Thane gown! What I love the most about the Thane dress is the detachable sleeves. I liked that it was a way for me to “change” from my ceremony look to my reception look. I also love the train on the Thane dress! The lace is absolutely stunning. My wedding gown was beyond my dreams and expectations. My dress made me feel so beautiful and I was so excited to show my dress to my husband! The quality of the dress is excellent, and it was truly so comfortable and easy to navigate for a wedding gown.
I went to Here Comes the Bride in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. I am so grateful that there was an in-store event with Madi Lane because that is how I discovered the dress of my dreams!”
Where did you get married? Tell us about the location, and style of your wedding.
The special day was a romantic October event, on a lucky warm day. Complete with rustic touches and a Fall-themed colour pallet and florals.
“Our wedding was at Fishermen’s Inn in Elburn, Illinois. We got married in October and were really hoping for a nice day to get married outside, and we were blessed with a 75 degree day in October! We had a stunning ceremony and cocktail hour outside on our venue’s grounds before heading into the grand dining room for dinner. Lastly, we danced the night away in their loft!”
What was your favourite moment from the big day?
“My favourite moment of the big day was that my best friend (who was also my husband’s first friend who he met in preschool) officiated our wedding. She did an amazing job and it made the day feel even more special!”
What advice would you share with future Madi Lane Brides?
“Try your best to stay present in each and every moment of the big day and do not sweat the little stuff!.”
