Ashlee married John at the stunning Summergrove Estate in NSW, Australia, looking breathtaking in our Palmer gown. With its elegant fit-and-flare silhouette and dramatic sheer back, the dress was the perfect match for her luxe, monochrome wedding. Her advice for future brides? Trust your instincts—you’ll know when it’s the one.
We met on Bumble!
My husband proposed in Santorini while on holiday – how perfect!
I fell in love with the Palmer dress – simple, elegant and classy.
When I was searching, Madi Lane gowns stood out to me immediately. The silhouettes are so flattering, the material and detail on each dress is beautiful. When I tried the Palmer gown it was everything I wanted. Elegant, fitted and chic, with a sheer floral panelling on the back. The back was my favourite detail. It added a bit of drama to the dress and was a beautiful contrast from the front. I found my dress at LUV Bridal on the Gold Coast.
My top 3 features would be the sheer corset on the back, strapless and the long train!
I would rate PALMER 5 stars. Palmer was perfect for me. I absolutely love everything about the dress and more importantly I love how it made me feel on our wedding day!
We got married at the beautiful Summergrove Estate, NSW, Australia. It was the perfect location having hinterland and the Gold Coast skyline in the background. The style of our wedding was classic, monochrome and luxe. We kept our colour palette black and white, featuring classic and elegant touches. We had a string quartet, champagne tower and fireworks.
Looking out at all of our family and friends during our reception while our favourite music was playing. Knowing that we will never get everyone in the same room again as we had friends and family from all over the world. Some of our friends and family were meeting each other for the first time so it was incredibly special. My husband is from Northern Ireland and it meant the world to us that all his friends and family travelled all the way from Australia for us.
Do some research online first and note the gowns you like before going into store. I also suggest if you are adamant on straps/sleeves, fitted or princess style to try on different designs as you might be surprised. I thought I wanted straps and more of a flowing design but went with something completely different. I only took my 1 person to my fittings as I didn’t want to be overwhelmed with advice. Finally, trust your instincts. You will know when you try it on – it will feel like THE ONE!
