Mitch and I met on a dating app, and did long distance for a year before I made the move to live with him.
Mitch proposed to me while we were away in Fiji. We Kayaked out to a sand bank and whilst exploring, I turned around to find him on one knee.
I had the longest list of Madi Lane gowns to try on, but the one I chose wasn’t the style I was originally going for. I had liked the A-line fit, but after trying on Pascoe (a more fitted and detailed style), I had never felt more like a bride. The lovely ladies at Luv Bridal Slacks Creek were so extremely helpful!
We got married at Maleny Manor. Our vibe was elegant and traditional, and our dress codes to guests was formal.
Florals were all white and the boys wore tuxedos. It was an absolutely beautiful day.
My favourite moment would have to be walking down the aisle with my mum and dad, to see my beautiful fur baby Kobe, and my soon to be husband tearing up. All the nerves went away, and it felt like I was in a little love bubble, and it was just Mitch and I there.
My biggest advice would be to try on styles you wouldn’t have pictured yourself to be wearing. What you see in pictures of other brides may look beautiful, but it’s ultimately how you look and feel and the end of the day. Don’t settle for any dress, the Madi Lane dress is out there for everyone!
